Norwich Gentleman Photographer – Wedding – Commercial – Lifestyle – Portrait » When you want your photographer to treat you with respect, you need the Gentleman Photograher

When I get the chance I do love to race off out to take photos of newsworthy events, be it a car accident, a fire, visit of a celebrity, or even a protest.  I was sad to have to cover the protest / vidual due the events in Paris, in France, a couple of days earlier at the offices of Charlie Hebdo where 12 people were killed.   I can not start to understand the strength of feeling some people have for a drawing of their god, but to murder someone for that act hit really hard to comprehend.  This peaceful protest outside the Forum in Norwich went off well, hearing the thoughts of a few passionate speakers and  seeing the obvious grief that some felt.  Sad event but I was pleased to have been there.

I was asked by the late Keith R Pomeroy’s daughter, Zoe, if I would be interested in photographing her father’s collection of paintings in preparation for an art gallery showing and ultimately sales of his work.  Zoe’s drive was to find good homes for her father’s work, be it in people’s homes or in corporate offices etc.

We embarked on, what turned out to be, a production line of documenting and photographing his paintings.  Thankfully we have good range of lighting equipment so that we were able to provide the right level light to show off the three dimensions of his work.

We provided an online catalogue for potential buyers to select the work they desired.  The high quality images we supplied were used in the exhibition’s catalogue along with the advertising campaign.

If you are interested you can still buy digital copies of his work for personal use – if you wish to use them commercially please get in touch.  You can find his collection here – “Keith R Pomeroy – Art Collection

It was a real pleasure helping Zoe with this, it was quite an emotional task, but we got through it with lots of humor and plenty of coffee!

After a newborn photo shoot for Anita and Rowan’s youngest in July 2014, I was invited back to their Norfolk home to photograph the whole family. Cole and Ty are such handsome boys and the affection Ty has for his baby brother was obvious in the photos of the two of them together.

As the day was very chilly, we decided to take the photos indoors and this gave us the opportunity to play with posed shots and have a little fun. I honestly cannot believe how quickly Cole is growing up and it was very much a reminder to capture images of children while they’re little and have that glorious cheekiness about them.

We are thrilled that we will be photographing Anita and Rowan’s wedding in October 2015. We can’t wait to see them and their handsome boys again.

Photoshoot in Cromer – North Norfolk Family Photography

North Norfolk Family Photography in October, what a perfect month for an outdoor photo shoot. Being at the beach just made it all the more of a pleasure when I was invited by Karen Wilson to photograph her family on a perfect t-shirt-weather Autumn afternoon.
It was an extended family shoot which made it perfect for wide shots of them against the amazing sky that day. With so many happy faces there was lots going on for me to capture and while Karen wanted some posed shots, there was a huge opportunity for some candid photos too, ideal for capturing the littler ones playing in the sand.

We didn’t just play in the sand though, we ventured onto Cromer Pier too. But with the tide out, it was the beach that was the biggest draw. I love North Norfolk beaches, Cromer and Sheringham’s seemingly go on for miles.

The weather held out for us beautifully for us on the day and time flew by. I love photographing families, especially when it’s multi generational and with lots of children. Karen’s choice of taking the shoot to Cromer was perfect. North Norfolk did us proud that day and I hope to be back again soon.

Jude & Matt’s Wedding – Assembly House, Norwich

We were thrilled to be invited to capture the wedding of Matt and Jude Cullum at the Assembly House in Norwich in October. The setting is absolutely lovely for a City Wedding in the heart of Norwich and the day was fantastic from beginning to end. As you will see, the day ended with a spectacular thunder and lightening storm!

The wedding had a perfect Autumn theme of oranges, cream and gold and under the fabulous chandeliers of the Music Room, there was a lovely warmth to the entire day. After the ceremony, Matt and Jude left the music room to the sound of Bring Me Sunshine by Morcombe and Wise, pure class!

A lovely day and a beautiful wedding and venue. Thanks Matt and Jude for inviting us to cover it for you.

Great Melton Old Rectory, Norfolk – Wedding Venue

The day was absolutely perfect for Andy & Rebecca’s September wedding. Their beautiful ceremony was at St Peter’s Church in Cringleford, Norwich, Norfolk with lovely weather, fab guests and their gorgeous little boy Jake. The ceremony couldn’t have gone more perfectly and after the confetti was thrown, they were whisked away in a VW Campervan to The Old Rectory in Great Melton, Norfolk.

The after-wedding party was thrown in the garden of the Old Rectory with a huge, double teepee full of picnic tables, bunting and an indoor fire-pit with jars of marshmallows ready for toasting. Fairy lights on the teepee sparkled into the warm evening and the guests filled up on hog-roast and the obligatory Pimms while the children played in the trees and the garden.

It really was the perfect late summer wedding for two genuinely lovely people and I was truly happy to have covered the day for them.
